报告摘要/Abstract

       Advanced structural materials are of engineering importance, potentially enabling more efficient turbines for engines, lighter structures for vehicles, and more reliable systems for industrial applications. In this talk, I will briefly present our recent work on the development of advanced structural materials, including high-strength Ti alloys, nanocrystalline Ag alloys, and ultrahigh-strength nanostructured steels. The emphasis will be placed on the materials microstructure engineering at micro-, nano-, and atomic levels, and on the elucidation of the strengthening and ductilizing mechanisms in these structural materials.

 

作者简介/Speaker’s short biography

焦增宝博士,香港理工大学机械工程学系助理教授。2010年于北京科技大学新金属材料国家重点实验室获硕士学位(导师吕昭平教授),2014年于香港城市大学机械与生物医学工程系获博士学位(导师C.T. Liu院士),2016年于麻省理工学院材料科学与工程系从事纳米材料研究(导师Christopher A. Schuh教授)。研究兴趣主要集中在超高强度纳米钢、高性能钛合金、纳米晶合金和高熵合金等先进金属材料的开发,以及纳米结构材料的三维原子探针(3D atom probe tomography)表征。目前授权专利三项,发表《Materials Today》、《Acta Materialia》、《Scripta Materialia》等期刊论文二十余篇。Acta Materialia》、《Scientific Reports》、《Intermetallics》、《Materials Characterization》等期刊审稿人。
